In October 2010, the tradition of Jan’s Health Bar moved forward when Jan Gaffney
sold the sandwich shop to Poppy and Andy Holguin. Not only are Poppy and Andy Huntington Beach residents, Poppy’s first job was working for Jan for three years
in the Huntington Surf and Sport location. “Poppy was a great worker and a delight. When they expressed interest in taking over the shop, I knew immediately it would be in great hands,” said Jan. The Holguins are proud protectorates of Jan’s legacy and commitment to quality as they work to keep Jan’s Health Bar a beloved and busy eatery for years to come.
