As Huntington Beach developed and grew, so did Jan’s Health Bar. In August 1990, the sandwich shop moved across the street and maintained its surf culture roots when it relocated to Huntington Surf and Sport on Pacific Coast Highway.

The new location’s expanded seating allowed customers to linger and enjoy the growing number of items on the menu – turkey, smoothies, salads and soups. The widening popularity of health food made Jan’s a favorite destination for anybody who loves great-tasting, well-priced fresh food. The Tuna Avo and Turkey Avo sandwiches, served by friendly staff, gained iconic status and earned a reputation as the perfect morning cure for the excesses of the night before.
